Lanthanide doped nanoparticles

This is a photo of lanthanide doped nanoparticles

Our research involves the synthesis, characterization and spectroscopy of lanthanide doped nanoparticles.

These materials have attracted considerable attention due to their potential application as biolabels and in biological assays. Nanoparticles doped with lanthanide ions that emit in the infrared are also attractive to the telecommunication industry.
