Heteroscedasticity - part 1

Parametric tests are those that assume parameters about the statistical population such as normality and homoscedasticity.

In this lecture, we will:

  1. Understand how heteroscedasticity affects ANOVAs.

  2. Learn how to detect heteroscedasticity in ANOVAs and linear models.

  3. Demonstrate that ANOVA is a linear model and, as such, we can use general statistical approaches developed for regression to deal with heteroscedasticity.
