What to study?

1) What do you need to study for assignments and exams?

ANSWER: You are expected to study all materials listed under each lecture chapter in the WebBook. These include a variety of resources such as lecture slides (which can be downloaded from the WebBook), written text (in the WebBook and additional material posted in Moodle), figures, and short videos. The materials draw on both course-specific content and carefully selected external resources, all designed to support a comprehensive understanding of Statistics and Biostatistics.

All materials posted for each lecture and tutorial are essential for your learning and may be assessed in assignments and examinations. Note that the videos are generally very short.

2) Do exams cover detailed knowledge of R?

ANSWER: NO! However, we will ask for some calculations in exams that can be done by hand.

3) Do we cover material in the lectures not covered in the lecture slides?

ANSWER: Lectures are designed to integrate concepts and knowledge within their proper context. Although the lecture slides are comprehensive, they are not intended to replace a textbook or the lecture experience itself. In short, regular attendance and active engagement in lectures are essential for success in this course.
