This website contains archived materials (lecture slides, problem
sets, exams) from past terms. The
current term’s materials will be posted on the Moodle
course website. ____________________________________________________________________________________ NOTE: Important
class announcements will be sent out via email, so please check to be sure
the university has your current email address (check on your MyConcordia Portal). ____________________________________________________________________________________ Dr.Rogers’ EXAMS from previous terms Midterm exams: F2008

Lab exams: (Samples not available) Multiple choice, short answer
& diagrams/naming Study “Operations” (used in your experiments) from Lehman’s
laboratory textbook Final exams: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Dr.Rogers’ PROBLEM SETS from previous terms ONLY doing the Problem Sets will NOT be sufficient to
prepare yourself for examinations. Make sure you regularly work through problems from the
textbook. You will find solutions to ALL the end-of-chapter problems
in the Study Guide. Use it to help you learn how to deal with organic chemistry
problems. How
to properly use your Study Guide: Do the problems yourself, then
check your answer. Do NOT just read the
solutions manual – that will give you a completely
false sense of confidence, because you cannot learn how to solve problems
yourself without struggling through them yourself. Problem
sets: (Note: in F03 &
W05, Ch.4 (alkene reactions) was covered LAST, so
was not on any assignments)
____________________________________________________________________________________ Dr.Rogers’ LECTURE SLIDES from previous terms A note about the lecture format: This course is taught using Powerpoint
slides and the blackboard. Lecture notes (.pdf’s
of Powerpoint slides) will be available on the
website before class. Bring print-outs of the slides to class, so you can focus
your attention on listening & participating. Take down notes on
the explanations and examples, rather than just copying down the slides. Copyright information:
